What makes a strong privacy or security domain
**It names a boundary.** Enclave, sanctum, bastion and vault all describe a protected interior. Buyers map that onto isolation, attestation and least privilege without being taught it.
**It is sober.** Puns, aggression and hacker-adjacent styling read as unserious to a CISO reviewing vendors, however well they play on a conference stage.
**It does not overclaim.** A name promising absolute security ages badly the first time an advisory is published against you. Names that describe posture rather than outcome are more durable.
**It works across the compliance surface.** Security names end up in audit reports, SOC 2 evidence and procurement forms. A name that survives that context in plain text is worth more than one that only works with a logo around it.
